Subject: Journey will never be Journey without Steve Perry

Yes, for starters, I am a guy and I love Steve Perry! I mean I really love everything about him - his look, his style, his energy and personality, and oh yeah, his voice :) He was and is still an absolutely magnificent talented individual, who quite frankly, is one in a million. To be given such a beautiful voice to sing with, but more importantly to - us, the fans, is simply a blessing. Everytime I see the videos and everytime I listen to the CDs and the tapes while, well, "doing whatever", I feel the power that he actually taps into and shoots straight out, right toward us, the listeners. There will, never be another Steve Perry, plain and simple. Yes, there is Augeri, but No - no comparison. The look as well as the voice (listen closely and you will be able to tell, that it is very different than Steve Perry's - and yes, I do believe the intent was to 'round up someone who could sing like Steve perry, whether the band will admit to it or not) is just not Journey, the Journey of the 80's that we grew up with and more importantly loved. Neil (if you are reading), I have to believe, and make an educated guess on what I've seen and read, that the majority of the problems that the band had become involved in, in it's later days, were disagreements (which is anyone's guess)that occurred between you and Steve; but as a devoted fan to not only Steve, you, and the entire band itself (because quite frankly, the entire band is very talented, compared to what is out there now), it would, uhh, just be nice to see the family together again and see the magic once more. I love you guys, always will, and would hope that something could be done ... just something. I think I speak for many a people out here on the west coast, or maybe everywhere for that matter, that "Journey, just will not be Journey without Steve Perry" ..... - a voice from San Francisco
