Regarding the issue of whether Journey will ever be as successful with Steve Augeri as it was with Steve Perry, the answer is a sad 'no'. Whatever the issue that caused the latest break between Steve Perry and the band, most of us associate Journey with Steve Perry. They were at their most successful and most loved at this juncture when Steve was the lead singer. The feeling that I receive from listening to an old journey song that comes on the radio still brings memories from those days when Journey ruled the airwaves. It is unfortunate that the latest album did not sell as well as it might have. There are rumors swirling about whether Steve Perry will rejoin Journey. I think Steve Augeri is a good singer who has an extremely hard job of trying to fill extremely big shoes and make people forget that Journey once had Steve Perry as the lead singer. The memories don't erase that easily. I would love to see Journey and Steve Perry bury the hatchet and get back together, record an album and actually tour behind that album. I think it would be an extremely successful tour, as there are many of us Journey fans who still want to see the original line-up in concert. Any female journey fans interested in e-mail me at mwduffy@earthlink.net,please do so, thanks.
