Recently I was in Lake Tahoe and the first night there I had a dream about Steve. It was an odd dream. I woke up and for the whole rest of the week it seemed as if something was missing in my heart. We were walking down the street looking in shops and "Send Her My Love" came on and it truly was the first time I was happy in that whole week. I realized what was missing. It was Steve's voice (I had left all of my CD's at home). I called all over Lake Tahoe and no one had any Steve Perry CD's. Only one store carried a Journey CD and it was one I already had (plus it was almost an hour away). Boy was I bummed. I realized how much happiness Steve's voice brings into my life on a daily basis. Without it, somehow I am lost.

I spent the rest of the week bidding on Steve Perry items on e-bay and looking out over the lake going over the lyrics to Journey/Steve Perry songs in my mind. The thought that kept going through my head was from another song... "Even though I know how very far apart we are, it helps to think we might be wishing on that same bright star." Steve Perry's voice brings so much happiness into my life that without listening to at least one of his CD's on a daily basis truly throws me off. Until he decides to return to public life, I guess maybe we can all be comforted that we are all under the same sky, experiencing the same thoughts and dreams. Even Steve Perry.

I pray he comes back soon... I miss him. :-(

Katie
