Subject: VH1 tidbits - Journey described as corporate rock (again)/+ phone numbers for CD + poster?

Below is a copy of a message I posted around, with phone numbers re the "fly-by-night?" company offering a "free poster with paid CD" - in case anyone is interested. It doesn't surprise me that few heard this in the commericial,
it isn't mentioned until the end, very fast (about as fast as they show the mailing address - for like 10 seconds).

Also, I'm watching VH1's the '70s, and towards the end of the program they're bemoaning the evolution of corporate rock in the late 70s, showing a clip of Journey (SP in white) doing Wheel in the Sky) - i.e., Journey was thrown in with Boston, Styx, Kansas - "artists whose pictures weren't even on the album covers" What a load of nonsense - the artwork was great, these groups broke new ground - who goes looking for the "Essential Elvis Costello" - punk rock was held up as the salvation from corporate rock - phhhht.

Anyway - the duplicate post is below w. phone numbers....
**************************************************
So at 1 in the morning last night the "Essential Journey"
commercial comes on, and this is an "800" number you can call - no company name (nice commercial though). There is a very quick mention of a free poster offered with a "paid order" - so I am wondering, is this a nifty Journey poster with pictures of the guys? Or just a poster of the album artwork? Or a cheesy promo poster for this unknown company.
I tried to find out, unfortunately the customer service dept. ain't too nifty and ISN'T an 800 number, after running up my bill on hold I had to leave a message. This company Westwood? is out of Colorado Springs - I'm on the East coast. So, could possibly people on multiple forums pass this info around and maybe anyone interested on the West coast (hopefully Colorado) could call the customer service dept. and find out what is on this poster, exactly. Which is the only reason I can see to order the CD from these people, when I can get the CD elsewhere and closer to home. I'm not very hopeful it's really cool but you never know.

The ORDERING # is 1-800-487-8811

But I was routed to customer service at 1-719-531-9147 who "know" about the poster.

Hopefully I will get a message back, but these people don't seem to be a model of how to market......
