Subject: WHY??????? I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!

Being only 17, soon to be, I don't remember any other wars that good. This one, my God, I can't find the words I want to say. WHY????? This is unbelievable. Beginning October 1st my school is going to be giving blood. I can't stand the sight of my own blood. I feel like I will pass out every time I see my own blood, but, I am going to give blood that day. I will have a friend there with me to keep my mind off of it. I want to do what ever I can to help. I had not told me parents this yet, but if they start a draft, I want to be go and be a volenteer (spell?) nurse. My Uncle, who I love soooo dearly, works for GTE, which sometimes takes him to New York. Had he been in New York at that time, he probably would have been in the World Trade Center. And most likely at the top of the building. I am thankful to God he was not there, but my aunt's friend, who I am also friends with, has a brother that is a cop in Queens. There is no doubt in my mind he was called down. I pray he is okay. WHY????? I am sorry I just don't get it. What I am sooooo content about what all that has happened is the fact our country is now closer together. I cannot stop contemplating what is going on. That is all we talk about in me classes (ever since Tuesday). I saw the World Trade Center once. I was so amazed. I also saw in my first bell class, Current Issues Class, the towers get hit by the planes and I sadly watched them fall. I have never before seen any of my teachers since I was in 1st grade get so angry. He said with a blood red face, "We should blow them out of the water". My friend's sister's baby was born early the morning of September 11. What a day for that precious angel to be born on. I know I will NEVER forget that day. As my own special memorial, I will have the date of the attack and God Bless America put on the inside of my high school ring when I get it this year.
