You don't look stupid. I thought the same thing when I heard about it. My thinking was "wow, wouldn't it be great if the did a 'reunion' of the We are the World group."
But when I heard about Brittney Spears and BSB I realized they were going to go with the current chart toppers. (Like they did in '85.)
That's not to say they couldn't call on the original group. Only time will tell.
As for Steve, I don't think he'd do it unless approached by Michael. Just my opinion.
My hopes are still with the Essential compilation, and that there will be some promotion for it. Fingers crossed!
