A little something I wrote today that I thought would be good to share since it is about Steve. Enjoy! Perry On!


THAT VOICE

You wake up in the morning
and hear THAT VOICE
You know the one that makes your
knees feel weak, your heart skip a beat.

The radio knob you turn from station to station
until you hear THAT VOICE.
Turn up the radio it's THAT VOICE your mind says.
So you turn the radio up.

How can you feel a special feeling
for one you do not know. How can it be love
for one you've never met. You only hear THAT VOICE
with each and every passing day,
that seems to take all your sadness away.

It's THAT VOICE you hear
in the middle of the day
or in the night, that seems
to take your breath away.

You stop to listen to THAT VOICE
hoping that it's singing something new
something special just for you.
THAT VOICE is singing something familiar
like an old friend.
That song is nearing the end.

THAT VOICE you hear is nothing new
someone you can relate to.
THAT VOICE has been there through the years
even helped you through the tears.

You maybe wondering,
Who's THAT VOICE?
You know, the one that makes your knees weak.
The one you hear through out the day.
THAT VOICE that makes you stop and say,
It's you I needed to hear today.
Your the one that takes my breath away.

Hush my love voices carry.
THAT VOICE I hear is that of Steve Perry!
