Torrie,
All of the tracks are, from what we understand, previously released and recorded songs. Nothing was re-mixed or re-made. Steve, Neal and Jon all, apparently, had a hand in picking out the songs.
And it is confusing. No one is sure why this project is happening. Is it just for $$ for Sony? Is it to settle a contract with Sony? With the GH CD, Time 3, and GH Live, no one is quite sure what to think.
I'm hoping this is just a way to finish a contract with Sony, so Journey can go their way, Steve can go his. Both with new, fresh starts.
Here's hoping a Steve Solo project is not too far behind! At least he's been in a studio and thinking music!
