Well, look at it this way...
We waited 8 years between ROR and FTLOSM. But that's been the longest without new music.
How, you ask?
'94 was FTLOSM, '96 was TBF, '98 was Greatest Hits + 5. Now, I realize GH + 5 wasn't new songs to Steve, but they were new to us.(The Against the Wall songs) Plus Journey's GH Live (my favorite right now).
So, really it's only been 3 years since we have had "new" songs.
Touring, now that's another issue. His being a homebody doesn't help. It's going to take a lot to pry him out of that house.. but I hope he will soon!
