Subject: Compilation... Hindrance or Helpful...

Ladies..
A thought provoking, discussion starting, deep thought for all of you to ponder and comment on. All that from my little grey cells.. scary isn't it?
Anyway,
The Compilation CD.. here are my thoughts..
My belief is that this is a Sony driven release. *If* that is correct I am wondering what kind of long term effect this could have on Steve releasing anything solo in the near future? Now, I realize we don't know if and when Steve is coming out with anything new.. having said that, *if* Steve was getting up some steam, I wonder how much this release will affect it. Can't imagine he would want to release a solo CD anywhere near a Journey one.. since he's no longer in Journey and a separation needs to be made. (And I'm sure that Journey feels the same way)
On the other hand, it will get his name out there and attach it to "new". And that could be a good thing, in the long run. Perhaps this is a springboard? A testing of the waters.. who knows?
Now, please don't get upset, don't think that my opinions are in any way a truth on this matter. Just wanted to express my thought and see what you guys think..
Hindrance, Helpful or Noel- you think too much?
