I hardly ever post, but I really enjoy this board and Gini you are doing a great job keeping everything together.

Excellent points Noel. When I first heard about the compilation I thought it was somewhat a slap in the face to the current lineup. Why put out the old stuff that they are having a hard time getting past in the first place while they are out trying to sell the New Journey? Didn't make sense. Then I took a little evil satisfaction in the notion that we will show that the public would rather re-buy old songs that we already have vs. anything that new that the current lineup would put out. Mean, I know.

But you are right. If Steve was/is working on something new, would this release push that back a bit? Is this a Sony-driven release? I can't think that the band would be too excited about it. But you also made an excellent point that this will get his voice back out there and perhaps pave the way and test the waters for his new material.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Great post, Noel.
