Subject: To Karin from Martina

Hi Karin,
I've read your mail today. Great to hear from you. I've been on holiday - two weeks on the Greek island Samos - that's why I'm writing you a bit late.
It seems that there are more and more German fans who come to this website. Hey, it's nice to hear that your nephews fiancee is also named Martina. I don't know many girls with that name. I live near Frankfurt (Tief im Taunus), but I work in Frankfurt at an advertising agency. Where in the States do you live? Why did you go abroad?

I only take part of the chatroom when I'm in my office. I always must be careful that my boss - it's a female boss and has no idea who Steve Perry is - won't find out what I'm doing while I'm working. Unfortunately I don't have internet at my homecomputer. I am also a "longterm Journey/Steve Perry fan". I started listen to Journey in 1980. I bought all records, collected every poster and article when I was a teenie, but I've been never to a concert and I've never seen them on TV.
A few months ago I bought Journeys new cd "Arrival". That's why I wanted to know what everybody's thinking about it. Before I bought the cd I read a lot of cd reviews and the comments at bol.de and amazon.de. Personally, I'm a bit disappointed regarding the songs. There are only a few which sound quite ok. You are right, without the REAL Steve they have lost their magic. But I hope that this won't mean the end of Journey anyway. While checking the offers in bol.de and amazon.de I found some solo cds of Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain and Ross Vallory. Do you know these cds?
So, nun muss ich wieder was tun fuer mein Geld.
Lieben Gruss aus Frankfurt
Martina
