As previously stated, "Anyway" was written about Steve's relationship with Journey. I think it was a nice thing to do. Steve (and I think most song writers) express their true feelings through music because it's probably the best way they know how. The song says it all in two words: "I'm sorry" and it says it from the heart and in the public eye. The fact that Steve has the guts to do just that (he's such a private person) and probably still has a genuine love for those guys to this day, just shows what a wonderful man he really is. One day maybe the rest of them will do the same. We all have our faults and have made mistakes in life, (I know I made a few beauties) but being able to admit them and make amends is the hard part. Steve doesn't seem to have any problem doing that. Other's (HH) should learn by example. As far as "What was" I don't know. It could be about Sherrie or any and all other women in Steve's life (or maybe a friends life). Just because it wasn't publicized doesn't mean he hasn't had other serious relationships. After all the man is 52 and still very foxy (not to mention everything else we love about him)and Sherrie and he split a long time ago. Get as many of his CDs as you can (especially the Journey years). Wow you're in for some really good music. As a fan since 78, I still love all of the songs and play them over and over, but it'd be nice to hear something new for the first time again. Consider yourself lucky.

please record again soon Steve!!!!!!
