Well, your message is up there - and it will stay. No-one here is afraid of the truth. But as I've observed here before, the truth is a many-headed beast.

A cheap crack? well, maybe. But consider this - how would you feel having to abandon your opening number after less than a minute because of prolonged feedback? In their short career so far, Karma have played many of Manchester's live venues, with various soundmen at the desk. They have NEVER had to stop a song midway. It is a bad reflection on everyone involved - but especially the sound guy. Soundchecks are about the mix. Howling feedback, especially for as long as it happened on Tuesday, is just plain incompetance, and has nothing to do with soundchecks.

Hilltop managed a decent sound, even though (despite being there as Karma's guests) they were angling for going on last due to no soundcheck. Karma had a soundcheck - but to seemingly no avail.

So apparently - no soundcheck = good sound, soundcheck = big problems.

As for bringing the rig for free - there was no need, the HRC policy is to use their own rig and engineer, as everyone was aware. The events of Tuesday will no doubt reinforce that policy. Karma were quite happy with the sound the first time they played HRC, given the acoustic of the place, and would be quite happy to use the resident rig again.

So, theres a few true facts to be going on with.
