In NO WAY is Louis Prima Underground, or Hardcore.
In fact, he hung out with Sinatra, Deano and Sammy Jr, which i'm sure makes him a fucking unknown doesnt it???
Ever seen Disneys 'The Jungle Book'? Walt based the character of King Louis on Louis himself and the voice was that of Louis's !!!
Seen any De Niro Mob/Mafia/Gangster films? More than likely there was a Louis Prima song on the soundtrack.
Hell, i was even ask by Jolly in Sharkeys to do him a mini disc full of swing stuff like Prima, BBVD, and other similar stuff as it is such fun happy music.
Roger was right in saying about when music was made for fun and enjoyment rather than money.
Personally i love listening to the Beach Boys but not that so called' Greatest album ever' Pet sounds, i prefer the earlier stuff like the Little Duece Coupe album, not a great success commerically but a fucking good album all the same.
I dont class any of my record/cd collection as obscure, or underground or whatever, i just class it as music i like to listen to, nothing more, nothing less.
I have music most people would regard as utter shit if they heard it but thats not the point is it?
I enjoy it and thats the main thing. No doult Killswitch will have great joy and amusement in pointing out any contraditions in this message, and lets be perfectly honest about it, do i really care???
