over-merchandising still sucks whether you're the first to do it or not. Ripping off the people that put you were you are, in any way, is the worst thing a band can do in my eyes, and that counts for bands who do it now and bands that did it however many years ago.

On a side note, did you ever get a load of PISS? They were the Backyard Babies heartfelt tribute to KISS, and quite amusing it was too. It sounds like a piss-take but they were really seriously paying homage to a band that inspired them.
