Subject: I can’t wait for someone to hear me…
In reply to: Maria 's message, "Hatred is thicker than blood" on 18:21:48 10/15/04 Fri

And wait for someone to touch me…

It was now or never. Either Golgith could go the distance and become weyrmate to the most wonderful green in the Weyr, or he could allow her to choose Myth, and leave this flight. However, he wouldn’t give up now. His feelings went deeper than flight lust, and if he caught her, he intended to be in her flights for the rest of his days.

X’thrall tried to pull back to reality a few times. He really wasn’t sure about this… he’d never thought about having a weyrmate. He didn’t know if he was ready. However, Golgith was. He could see that. And, if G’rein was willing to put up with him, he could try to be the best weyrmate possible. He just wasn’t used to human contact. That would, of course, change over time, but…

Golgith took a deep breath, and streched his dark wings. The heat from his flight up could still be felt leaving his darkened body, but he payed no attention to it. He looked at Myth, and nodded, in a show of ‘may the best dragon win’. He knew the flight was ending, and he wanted Grenith happy—even if it was with this other male.

X’thrall looked over at Maria. She seemed almost as scared as he was on the inside, and they both seemed overcome with dragon emotion so as not to show it. He gave her a little nod, and whispered, ”May the best dragon win, my firend.” Then, he looked back at G’rein. This flight was all about the boy. Now, he would be put to the test; could he make it to G’rein, or would Maria be in favor?

And wait forever to be told…

(I will follow.)

This simple statement was the last thing Golgith said before darting off. He flew towards her, knowing she wasn’t going to stay in one place for long. When she sped off, he turned with her, following to the best of his ability. His wings streched to new lengths as bhe devoted himself to giving his all. He’d give her all of him; if she didn’t want him, he was sorry, but if by some miricle she did, he wouldn’t keep an inch to himself.

As Golgith was giving his all, X’thrall was once again filled with dragon emotion. He looked intently at G’rein, and finally took his first step toward the boy. The X’thrall within still had doubts, but Golgith didn’t. Golgith had nothing to loose. And Golgith would keep trying, right down to the second she picked mate.

Golgith’s dark wings beat with passion, and his eyes whirled with desire. What if she didn’t pick him? Would he be alone? And what if she did? Would his X’thrall and her G’rein love each other as much as he loved her?
Two of those questions were very soon to be answered. It was finding out which one that would be the trouble.

X’thrall tried to restrain himself, but he took another step. He wasn’t Golgith… he wasn’t Golgith…

But, he was…

,i>I’m forever alone…

Golgith flew as fast as he could. He didn’t psuh himself too much; if she picked him, he must have the stregnth to support them! His wings beat, and his heart felt in his head. It pounded in his ears, and whispered to his brain…

Which would she pick?

…I’m not waiting here this time…

((Alright, to take a burden off your shoulders, Golgith will not die if he isn’t picked. Deystar’s talked to me about how much she hated it in flit flights when they said they’d die without her female, so I decided to bring this up. And, Pup, Maria’s cool. May the best dragon, Golgith or Myth, win. I know Grasscat knows whom she wishes to choose.))
