Maria only looked at the two descending into the flight weyr. Myth spiraled down, his eyes losing luster and color. He landed right next to his Maria. She ran to him, all thoughts of anything else lost.
Myth! Are you all right sweet?
She preferred him over me.
How awful! But are you okay?
I am not sure. It hurts, being dejected.
Maria closed her eyes in sympathy. Her Myth's pain tore at her heart as though some one had cut it up to use as canine food.

I should have know better than to expect more from humans

Maria placed a hand on Myth's crest, and they walked to the beach. Jasmine flew down, chirping like crazy. From her images, she could tell that the small green had seen something important. Apparently, it was about the flight.
"No, Jasmine. It hurts too much."
She murmurred to her flit, letting her nestle on her shoulder.

They are all the same` can not trust any of them


((No offense taken, but Maria is feeling really down in the dumops at the moment. If I seem too melancholy with her, remember that Maria is truly and internal aspect of m true form, and writes herself. Nitesun, congratulations. Here is where I find a rider to comfort Maria, in her dragon's grief.)
