Shrineth exalts in her trickery as she coasts along, feeling the wind and waiting for the dragons to catch on that she had indeed pulled one over on them. One by one they burst through the clouds behind her, each with an exceedingly loud announcement of their own cleverness. Well, that only proved that they weren't all lackwits. She had MUCH more in store for them.

Giving another toned shriek that probably could have woken someone sleeping on the Red Star (if it was hospitable enough for that, anyway) Shrineth flexes her wings and powers away again. That little respite had given her time to get real power again and soon she's but a speck, looking for her next move. Disappearing was only so much fun, and fruitless acrobatics for big lugs like the ones chasing her would only result in more bugling. What could she do? How about a game of bravery? Of strength? Acrobatic to a point, yes, but it was more about control, really. The cloud cover that had provided her first trick had also opened up to reveal that her flight, like so many before her in primal instinct, was taking place over the ocean. She looked down to briefly admire the fleeting glow of her skin against the waves before deciding. She was well high above the water, but now she went careening straight down. The thrill causes an earth bound Wessae to gasp involuntarily as the ocean comes rushing down to meet her. Shrineth barrel rolls as she descends, her wings flaring out to mill the wind until she tucks them in. It looks for all appearances as though she's going to dive straight into the ocean! But just as her muzzle is a scant half a foot from the water, her wings flare and she lets the breeze push her along the water's surface, her claws dipping down to leave twin wakes that wall up and splash her hide with sea water. Flying along the water for a bit, she rises a few feet, and then another few, inch by careful inch until she's maybe ten feet above the water. The breeze is nice today, and it makes powering along easy, almost like windsurfing. Would her pursuers follow? Would they dive down like she had and glide along keeping time with her, or would they opt to stay far above? She rather thought that boring, the safe way to go, but not a way to catch attention. She lets them know exactly what she thinks of their courage and their willingness to endure by flinging a taunting warble up at them as she keeps her speed near the water's surface.

Ground-bound and now fighting to take in air normally, Wessae backs from the group of riders, Shrineth's taunts in her as she snarls at them to keep back from her. It wasn't time, not quite yet, but the Weyrwoman does look quite undignified, what with backing away and snarling like some sort of animal, her eyes wide and wild as her dragon soars the skies.
