Reduce Varicose Veins. (WS2124) -- Husnain, 02:08:01 07/25/08 Fri

Although varicose veins certainly lack popularity -- they are right down there with cellulite for the least desirable bodily attribute -- they are actually quite "popular" in that a great many people have them.Up to 30 million Americans have these ropey, bulging veins, usually on the legs. Women age 30 and older are most commonly affected, but no one is immune. Even Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones "can't get no satisfaction" -- he reportedly has calves crisscrossed by them. There are things you can do to reduce them:
Do regular exercise. Walking, running, cycling & swimming keep blood vessels healthy.
Stick to a high-fibre & low-salt diet. Kick off the high heels. Avoid tight-fitting clothings or undergarments that restrict blood flow at the waist, groin & legs (e.g. girdles, stockings & socks). If elastic stockings are recommended, wear them before getting out of bed in the morning. Don't leave legs crossed or bent for a long period. If work requires prolonged standing or sitting, move & stretch those legs, rotate ankles & wiggle the toes once in a while. Do leg stretching exercises daily. Raise legs above the level of the heart whenever possible. Rest those legs on pillows while sleeping. Stop smoking Although varicose veins aren't usually considered a significant health problem, they can make life miserable. "Varicose veins shouldn't be viewed as only a cosmetic concern," said Dr. Alan Hirsch, a specialist in vascular medicine at the University of Minnesota. Often, the discomfort over the veins' appearance is equalled by the aching pain they can cause, particularly after a long day of sitting or standing. In addition, the veins may signal a higher risk for other more serious blood vessel disorders. visit: http://www.nikhar-e-arab.com/varicoseveins.html

Canadian life(WS2136) -- owais hadi, 01:16:31 07/22/08 Tue

Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn. Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke. When you are in
people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not
smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke. Being on time: You should always arrive on time - at school, at work and for any meeting. People who are often late may be fired from their jobs or suspended from school. Many Canadians will not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for someone who has a business meeting. For social events, people expect that you will arrive within half an hour of the stated time.
Respect for the environment: Canadians respect the natural environment and expect people to avoid littering (dropping waste paper and other garbage on the street or throwing it out of your car). They expect you to hold on to your garbage until you can find a proper garbage can.
Bargaining: Bargaining for a better price is not common in Canada, but there are some exceptions. For example, almost everyone bargains for a better price when buying a car or a house, or other expensive items such as furniture. People who sell things privately may also bargain.
Smart shopping: Stores compete with one another to attract customers, so it is wise to check and compare prices at different stores before you buy. Note: The price marked on goods in stores does not usually include the federal and provincial sales taxes, which add from 7 percent to 15 percent to the cost of an item, depending on the province in which you buy it. visit: http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/impsocial.htm

History of Canada(WS2136) -- owais hadi, 00:56:53 07/22/08 Tue

anada is a land of many cultures and many peoples. Aboriginal peoples have occupied the territory now called Canada for several thousands of years. Everybody else, either by birth or by descent, has been an immigrant - we have all come from somewhere else. It has been said that Canada is a "nation of immigrants."There are three main groups of Aboriginal peoples in Canada: the First Nations, the Inuit and the Métis. There are more than 50 different languages spoken by Canada's Aboriginal peoples, most of which are spoken only in Canada. In fact, the name "Canada" may have come from the word "Kanata," which means a settlement in the language of the Huron-Iroquois First Nations peoples. As a country, Canada came into being on July 1, 1867. This event is known as "Confederation." Before 1867, the French arrived first, then the British. Each brought their own language, system of government, laws and culture. In 1763, after a long war between the British and the French, all of Canada came under British rule and was known as "British North America." In the late 18th and into the 19th century, during and after the time of the American Revolution, many African-Americans and United Empire Loyalists fled the United States for Canada, where British ties remained and slavery had been abolished. During the mid- to late 19th and early 20th century, waves of immigrants arrived from Europe, attracted by the opportunity of a new and better life in Canada. Some settled in towns and cities; others worked in factories, mines and lumber camps. Many were farmers who turned the Prairie region into wheat fields. Asian immigrants from China, Japan and India settled mainly in the western provinces during this time. Many immigrants helped build Canada's national railways, which joined the east and west coasts and opened up the interior for settlement. After both world wars, thousands of Europeans came to Canada as immigrants and refugees and helped build Canada's post-war economy. Over the last 50 years, people from all over the globe have sought a better life or have sought refuge in Canada, fleeing civil wars, political unrest and natural disasters. Canada still needs the skills, talents and enthusiasm of newcomers to build our country, together with those who have come before them. All of this has been reflected in Canada's immigration and refugee policies. Today, Canada is home to immigrants from
more than 240 countries. Most newcomers decide to become citizens of Canada, after
they are settled and have met the requirements of Canadian citizenship. visit: http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/history.htm

Loss your weight and gain health.(OD2141) -- Khadim, 10:21:17 07/17/08 Thu

Tall women. Tall women can indulge in wide belts, avoid tight clothes and skirts that are to short or to long. Beauty expert Stephanie Faber recommends tall women play down their waist by wearing their blouses over the pants and skirts and avoid tight belts. Hip heavy triangle woman. A hip heavy triangle and round full figured women can use clothes with vertical lines to make an up and down illusion. V-necks and skirts with slits up the sides are also good. Clothes with small padded shoulders should be chosen . Too big of pads will make you look like a foot ball player. Wear long tops that go passed your hips. Choose jackets, tailored suits and shirtwaist dresses with straight, classic cuts. Lighter colors on top can be worn, this brings eyes up. Wear dark stockings and avoid patterns. Select vertical, fluid patterns and avoid bulky fabrics. Adopt the just below the knee look in dresses and skirts. Choose accessories close to the same color clothes you are wearing including shoes. This gives your body an unbroken slimmer look. Avoid very wide pinafore skirts. Stay with straight or Aline skirts. Top heavy woman. The top heavy body types need to choose long jackets without shoulder pads. Do not wear blouses with fancy details and ruffles. Do not wear clingy fabrics on top, choose darker colors on top. Do not wear tops that are to light. Tops with dolman or raglan sleeves and ones that fit loose and slims down to hug the hips and waist are good. Wear pants or skirts that are pleated to bring the eye down. Choose thin materials like cotton, or cotton jersey. One color dressing will also be thinning. Flat shoes are best unless you are short, then wear heels. If your legs are in good shape shorter hem lengths will draw attention away from your top. Rectangular type woman. The rectangular type can accentuate curves by wearing jackets or tops that hug the waist, feminine thick sweaters over skirts or pants. Use patterns in your tops or bottoms to add dimension. Round out the neckline with necklaces, scarves and other accessories, and use shoulder pads. visit: http://nikhar-e-arab.com/fashionforyou.html

Shake your Body!
Every day find new ways to move your body. Use the stairs rather than an escalator or elevator. Cut the Fat
Don't eat the obvious fat in your diet such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats. Eat dairy products like cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream low fat versions. Hands beauty care your nails. (XXX) -- muhammad khalid siddiqui, 14:22:00 07/03/08 Thu

Apply hand lotion and begin to massage the palm of your hand with the thumb of your other hand. This will help to circulate the blood. Work your way over the remainder of the hand and then repeat giving equal time to the other hand. Before color is applied to nails, they must be cleaned and the easiest way to do this is with an orange stick that has been wrapped with cotton. Dip into nail polish remover and then rub over the surface of the nail. Check the nail for any creamy residue. When none remains, your nails will be ready for polishing. Time for color. Pick up a small amount of polish on your brush and paint one stroke down the center of your nail. Your brush should hold just enough color to accomplish this. Stroke the sides of the nail and you are done. The nail should be completely colored in three strokes. Allow to set for a minute or so before applying the second coat. Wait until polish is set (dry to the touch) and then apply the top coat. Don't skip this step as it not only adds life to your manicure, it will protect your nails as well.
Sanitize all of your equipment with alcohol and when they are dry, store them away until the next manicure. Nail Tips: Nail polish can be stored in the fridge. If your nail polish is too thick, try thinning with a polish thinner. To prevent the cap from sticking, coat it with a little Vaseline to prevent this from happening. visit: http://nikhar-e-arab.com/nailcare.html

Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be

angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn. Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke.

When you are in
people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not
smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke. Being on time: You should always arrive on time - at school, at

work and for any meeting. People who are often late may be fired from their jobs or suspended from school. Many Canadians

will not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for someone who has a business meeting. For social events, people expect that you

will arrive within half an hour of the stated time.
Respect for the environment: Canadians respect the natural environment and expect people to avoid littering (dropping waste

paper and other garbage on the street or throwing it out of your car). They expect you to hold on to your garbage until you

can find a proper garbage can.
Bargaining: Bargaining for a better price is not common in Canada, but there are some exceptions. For example, almost

Hands beauty care your nails d090 -- Mohammad Imran tariq, 08:55:15 06/25/08 Wed

Important Social Standards in Canada (es18) -- sumbla, 20:09:47 06/11/08 Wed

Social practices - not laws - govern many types of behaviour in Canada. Some traditions are well established and are politely but firmly enforced. For example:

Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn.

Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke. When you are in people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke.

Old age benifits in Canada.(WS3535) -- Asad, 07:31:55 06/11/08 Wed

A senior citizen is someone 65 years of age or older. It is common in Canadian society for healthy senior citizens to live on their own, instead of living with their children. Older people who need special care often move to a retirement or nursing home that provides trained staff and health-care workers.

However, many Canadians still care for older family members in their own home. Old Age Security: The Old Age Security (OAS) program ensures a basic income to all people in Canada 65 years of age or over who meet the residency requirements. Usually, OAS is paid after a person has lived in Canada at least 10 years, although people who have lived or worked in countries with which Canada has an agreement may qualify after as little as one year. Low-income people who get OAS may also qualify for the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) and their spouses (or widows) may also qualify for the Spouse's Allowance if they are between 60 and 64 years of age.

Clothes Styles and Body Shapes.(WS3535) -- Asad, 03:45:58 06/07/08 Sat

High collars shortens necks. Tight tops with short sleeves and breast pocket is detracting from your figure. Shoes with straps shortens your legs. The torso can be shortened or narrowed with seam lines, belts, bows, and collars. A short necklace can shorten your neck. A scarf or belt that hangs down toward the legs will make the legs appear longer. Knitted texture, lace, floras, prints, and plaids can assist in creating an illusion. T
hicker vertical lines in plaids lengthens and slims. Wear a larger print where you want people to look and smaller print where you do not want them to look. An all over print can camouflage figure problems, but prints here and there can create a fuller you. Prints around the neck and over the shoulder can make your shoulders appear wider. Just wear prints near the parts of your figure's assets, because they are usually more eye catching than a solid color. When buying pants be sure they fit well. Defects are emphasized in a pair of pants that may go unnoticed in a skirt. Petite women. Petite women need to keep clothes in line, slim narrow belts. A slight contrast in colors and fitted lines will flatter you endlessly. Also stay with fabrics that are soft and flowing that fits well. Over powering prints should be avoided. visit: http://nikhar-e-arab.com/fashionforyou.html

Do you need confidence boost sometimes (OD4565) -- QADIR, 00:34:23 04/27/08 Sun

Message Description:

Feel Good when you Want
When you need to boost your self confidence or self esteem, find 3 things that make you feel good. These could be memories of good times, a piece of music, a holiday souvenir, or a person's face - use photos if it helps. Practise thinking about them and bringing them to mind.
Developing self confidence that lasts - because of the way emotions 'attach' themselves to memories, you will quickly train yourself to feel good when you want - a great help.

Beat Self Consciousness
Self consciousness is the No.1 enemy of self confidence. Learn how to keep your attention off yourself. You can do this easily by following these steps...

If you notice you have become self-conscious, (you can usually tell because you start to feel anxious), choose something 'everyday' you can see and study it in detail. For example: examine a door, look at the different textures and shades of colour, wonder about who made it and how and so on. The important thing is that you're learning how to keep your attention off yourself.

If you feel self-conscious in a social situation, it's usually because you don't have enough to do! Focus on what your purpose in the situation is. Whether you're there to:

find out if you like the other people in the situation
make others feel comfortable
find out some information
make business contacts
and so on...
It's easy to feel self-conscious if you have nothing to do, and much more difficult if your attention is occupied by a task.

Think how comfortable you have been with others when you're all working toward a common goal. The common goal of socialising could be making friends, it could be the exchange of mutually beneficial information, it could be whatever you want it to be! for more information visit: http://www.nikharearab.com/selfesteem.html

How will you boost your energy (OD4565) -- QADIR, 22:52:59 04/26/08 Sat

Message Description:

Increase Your Magnesium Intake

Eating a balanced diet can help ensure your vitamin and mineral needs are met. But if you still find yourself too pooped to pop, you could have a slight magnesium deficiency, Heller says.

"This mineral is needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body, including breaking down glucose into energy," Heller says. "So when levels are even a little low, energy can drop."

In a study done at the Department of Agriculture's Human Nutrition Research Center in Grand Forks, N.D., women with magnesium deficiencies had higher heart rates and required more oxygen to do physical tasks than they did after their magnesium levels were restored. In essence, their bodies were working harder which, over time, says Heller, can leave you feeling depleted.

The recommended daily intake of magnesium is around 300 milligrams for women and 350 milligrams for men. To make sure you're getting enough, Heller suggests:

* Add a handful of almonds, hazelnuts or cashews to your daily diet.
* Increase your intake of whole grains, particularly bran cereal.
* Eat more fish, especially halibut

Healthy Tips for Healthy Minds (OD4565) -- qadir, 13:33:59 04/19/08 Sat

Positivity rules
Try to stay open-minded and positive. Negative, rigid and inflexible attitudes decrease your ability to deal with the stresses of life and prevent you from enjoying yourself.

Get your zzz’s
Be sure to get an adequate amount of sleep each night. Fatigue can interfere with the information you have already stored and your ability to learn new things.

Beneficial B12
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to serious and irreversible physiological and psychological problems. Get your intake from foods of animal origin like meat, fish, eggs and dairy products.

Stress-free solutions
To combat stress, go outside for a brisk walk instead of smoking a cigarette. Reach for your running shoes instead of the TV remote or a chocolate bar. Regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes a day for most days of the week) and a healthy, balanced, low-fat diet will not only make you feel better but help you to better manage your stress.

Morning energy
Need a boost in the mornings? Time your coffeemaker so that the aroma of coffee coincides with your alarm. Sing in the shower. Use lotions with stimulating scents such as mint. Plan at least one fun thing to do each day. Eat breakfast. Listen to a radio station that makes you laugh – laughter is one of the best energizers around!

Important Social Standards in Canada (OD102) -- Muhmmad waleed, 02:47:34 03/24/08 Mon

Social practices - not laws - govern many types of behaviour in Canada. Some traditions are well established and are politely but firmly enforced. For example:

* Lining up or queuing: People normally line up or queue according to the principle of "first-come, first-served." They will be angry if you push ahead in a lineup instead of waiting your turn.
* Not smoking in private homes: Most Canadians do not smoke. When you are in people's homes, you should always ask their permission to smoke. If they do not smoke themselves, they may ask you to go outside to smoke.
* Being on time: You should always arrive on time - at school, at work and for any meeting. People who are often late may be fired from their jobs or suspended from school. Many Canadians will not wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for someone who has a business meeting. For social events, people expect that you will arrive within half an hour of the stated time.
* Respect for the environment: Canadians respect the natural environment and expect people to avoid littering (dropping waste paper and other garbage on the street or throwing it out of your car). They expect you to hold on to your garbage until you can find a proper garbage can.
* Bargaining: Bargaining for a better price is not common in Canada, but there are some exceptions. For example, almost everyone bargains for a better price when buying a car or a house, or other expensive items such as furniture. People who sell things privately may also bargain.
* Smart shopping: Stores compete with one another to attract customers, so it is wise to check and compare prices at different stores before you buy. Note: The price marked on goods in stores does not usually include the federal and provincial sales taxes, which add from 7 percent to 15 percent to the cost of an item, depending on the province in which you buy it.visit: http://settlement_in_canada.sitesled.com/impsocial.htm

The day you arrive in Canada Customs and immigration (OD858) -- Hina, 13:58:09 03/12/08 Wed

You will probably find the entry procedure fairly straightforward because you have a passport and other essential documents
You will be interviewed by a Canada Customs officer. You will need to give the officer a list of all the household and personal items that you will be bringing into Canada.
You should also show the immigrant visa to the customs officer, who will refer you to an immigration officer.
The immigration officer will check your visa and travel documents and ask you questions similar to those on the Immigrant Application Form, to verify that you are of good character and in good health.
At this time, you may also be asked to show proof of your funds. If there are no difficulties, the officer will authorize your entry to Canada as a permanent resident by signing your Record
of Landing or Confirmation of Permanent Residence.
If you arrive at one of the major Canadian airports, you will get a booklet called Welcome to Canada: What You Should Know.
It has information on most aspects of life in Canada. It also provides addresses and telephone numbers for:
• immigrant-serving organizations acrossCanada;
• language training assessment centres(which help eligible adult newcomers find free language classes);
• useful federal and provincial government offices.

Way to get the Job opportunities in Canada (OD010) -- Bilal inam, 09:33:47 03/12/08 Wed

Message Description:

* Service Canada Centres: Counsellors at these centres can give you free advice and
information about job and language training and work creation programs for newcomers. They can help you plan an effective job search and prepare a résumé of your education and experience. Each centre also has listings of available jobs on computer or on bulletin boards.
* Classified advertisements: Every daily newspaper in Canada has a classified advertisements section where you will find a variety of jobs listed. In many areas, there are also weekly or monthly employment papers that advertise jobs.
* Local help: To help newcomers prepare to enter the Canadian work force or to gain
access to their profession or trade in Canada, immigrant-serving organizations have a variety of programs. Some give workshops on job search skills, where participants get an overview of the job market where they live. Participants learn, among other things, how to write a good
résumé and how to behave in an interview. In some areas, there are jobfinding clubs, mentoring programs, programs to help you get volunteer work experience, and wage subsidy programs.
* Your personal "network": One of the best ways to learn about jobs is to talk to people. They can be people you know well, or people you have just met. Even if they cannot lead you directly to a job, they can provide you with information, ideas and names of other people who might be able to help and encourage you.
* The Internet: Many Web sites have information on job opportunities. You can search for a job on-line in any part of Canada. Some sites also give practical advice on how to plan your job search. Others allow you to apply for a job directly on the Internet, or to post your
résumé (in English or French). When you do this, your résumé goes into a database that can be searched by employers. Try visiting the following Web sites, run by the federal government.
* www.directioncanada.gc.ca: The Going to Canada Immigration Portal is an important resource that provides on-line information and services from a variety of government and non-government sources to help you make informed decisions about coming to Canada.
* www.hrsdc.gc.ca: This is the national Web site of Human Resources and Social Development Canada, a federal department.
* www.jobsetc.ca: This site will take you through all the steps needed to choose a career and to carry out an effective work search.

LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) (008) -- arsalan, 07:56:33 03/12/08 Wed

There are hundreds of immigrant-serving organizations in Canada. Many are staffed by former newcomers to Canada, who understand the challenges that immigrants may face. They usually have people available who speak your language and can accompany you as interpreters. Citizenship and Immigration Canada supports many of these organizations financially, helping
newcomers adapt to life in Canada.

Settling in will be much easier if you contact an immigrant-serving organization as soon as
you arrive. The people who work for these organizations can help you find a place to live and can answer your questions about shopping, education for your children, transportation, language training and other important matters.

Immigrant-serving organizations can help you:

* find a place to live;
* get your Social Insurance Number andhealth-care card;
* enrol your children in school;
* get language training;
* find a family doctor;
* find out about government and community services for newcomers;
* look for a job;
* develop a realistic budget; and
* get emergency food aid, if it is needed.

Note:

In Quebec, the Ministčre de l'Immigrationet des Communautés culturelles is organized into different regions. Each region has a local office, called a Carrefour d'intégration, which works with the immigrant-serving organizations to help newcomers adapt to life in Quebec.

Most immigrant-serving organizations offer, or can provide information on, the following
Government of Canada programs.

LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada)

LINC is a federal government program for all eligible adult immigrants.
It offers:

* free language training for adult newcomers who want or need basic English or French;
* language classes given by school boards, colleges and local organizations;
* the choice of studying part-time, full-time, evenings or weekends, depending on your
needs and your schedule; and
* transportation and child-minding, if necessary.

How you prevent your back ache (OD567) -- Nahida, 01:18:55 03/04/08 Tue

Avoid any sudden strain. If you are going to have to bend in any way make sure that your back is not cold and stiff. Exercise regularly to loosen up the back and strengthen its supporting abdominal muscles. Stretching your back helps loosen it and prevent injury.
If you sit for long periods, make sure your back is properly supported. Place a small roll in the arch of your lower spine (at waist height) to maintain its normal S-curve. Simply a towel, or cushion rolled up will do.
When lifting, never bend down from the waist, lower and raise yourself at the knees. Keep your back straight and hold the object close to your body. If you are going to carry anything any distance that may be heavy, make sure that your way is clear. You do not want to be dodging around things when you are carrying.
Balance items you carry evenly on both sides of your body and hold them close or use a knapsack.
Sleep on your back if possible, with knees raised on a pillow. If you sleep on your side, a pillow between the knees is a big help.
If you need a firm bed, place a board between the mattress and the box spring.

Lower Back Pain
Eight out of ten Americans will experience a backache at some point. Back pain is the second most common reason for doctor visits in the U.S. The causes of lower back pain are numerous. Some of the more common causes of lower back pain are:
Sudden injury to the back such as may occur in an auto accident, fall, sports, or other manner.
Gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, menstrual cramps, fibroid tumors, and pregnancy are sometimes the cause of lower back pain in women.
Stress to the muscles, nerves, or ligaments in the lower back.
Certain jobs such as those that require repetitive movements, sitting in chairs that are not ergonomically proper for your back, or standing for long periods of time often increase back stress and cause lower back pain.
Arthritis, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and other bone or joint diseases often cause lower back pain.
Not getting enough physical activity, being sedentary, or being overweight often stresses the lower back causing pain.
Slipped discs, pinched nerves, sciatica, aging, and infections are other common causes of lower back pain.
Smoking. More than 1300 physicians were followed from time of graduation (1948-1964) from John Hopkins University, some for over fifty years. The researchers found that smoking history, hypertension, and coronary artery disease (risk factors for atherosclerosis, occlusion of the arteries) are significantly associated with development of lower back pain.
Because there are so many causes of lower back pain, some serious such as spinal tumors, if you experience lower back pain see your health care provider for diagnosis. If your lower back pain is sudden and severe and it is not during your provider's office hours, go immediately to your local hospital emergency room.
Muscle Relaxants
Once the cause of your back pain has been been properly diagnosed, there are supplements to physical therapy and good posture that can help, such as skelatal muscle relaxants like Soma, Selaxin and Flexeril. Muscle relaxants such as Soma Selaxin and Flexeril are prescription medications that are used to treat pain caused by muscle spasms like muscle injuries, spasms, sprains, and strains. Skelaxin Soma Flexeril and other muscle relaxers are recommended as a supplement to physical therapy, rest, or other treatments your doctor may recommend, and will not replace these treatments. for more information visit: http://www.nikharearab.com/backacheprevention.html

How will you make your Face look slimmer OD09 -- Salman, 20:10:55 02/27/08 Wed

Use your make up blusher cleverly to slim down chubby cheeks
Purchase two shades of blush, one of a deeper shade and one that's lighter. To ensure the shades go together, purchase a compact with two coordinating shades.
Apply your usual foundation make-up or powder to cover any imperfections and even out your skin tone.
Apply the lighter shade of blush in circular motions onto the apples of your cheeks... how do you to find your apples? Just smile!
Next, following the line of your cheekbones, apply a sheer sweep of the deeper shade of blush.
Blend, blend and blend. The key with this trick is to create dimension, but you do not want a very obvious demarcation between your natural cheek color and the blush (i.e. think stripes!).
Sweep a small amount of the lighter shade across your nose and/or forehead as desired to add an extra "glow" to your complexion. for other details visit: http://www.nikharearab.com/slimfacemakeup.html

Tips which gives you more dashing rather then past(OD06) -- Amin Burki, 18:47:07 02/25/08 Mon

Make-up timeline
To ensure your eyes stay healthy and free of infection when using make-up, heed the following due-date rules. Throw out your mascara after three months, powder eye shadows every nine to 18 months, and cream eye shadows every six to 12 months. Sharpen your eyeliners often to keep them clean

Mascara mistakes
To avoid mascara flake-off or smudging on your face, apply a thin cost of mascara to top lashes only. Then run an eyelash brush through lashes to prevent clumpy mascara build-up.

Get a rosy glow
Want your face to radiate a healthy glow? Try using a gel blush or cream (instead of powder) in a rosy shade of pink to create a more natural look. Gels or creams are more transparent and blend smoothly – rub it on the apples of your cheek and blend up towards the eye for a glowing complexion.

Minute manicure
Need a fast fix for unpolished nails? File nails into a square shape, buff them to create a bit of shine and apply a clear coat of polish. Next rub in cuticle oil around the edges of the nail and moisturize your whole hand. It takes less than 15 minutes and will give your appearance a polished look.

Brow etiquette
The trend in eyebrows for this season is natural looking, not sparse and skinny. Use a tinted brow definer or eyeshadow to fill in scanty brows.

Fix tired feet
Pamper your tired feet with a luxurious footbath. Fill a basin with warm water and add a few drops of essential oils. Next place marbles or small stones (found at your local garden centre) into the basin. Run your toes and soles of your feet over the marbles, and relax for 15 minutes.

Eye/lip pencil care
Before sharpening your eyeliner or lip pencil, place them in the freezer for 10 minutes. They will harden slightly and not break when sharpened.

Eyeliner hint
Women with deep-set eyes should use liquid liner instead of regular pencil eyeliner, to prevent smudging in the crease of the lid. Liquid liner does not smudge as easily.

Nail polish know-how
Is your nail polish from last season too thick? Chances are the polish has begun to thicken at the bottom of the bottle. Add a bit of nail polish thinner to the bottle to get the maximum use of your nail polish.

Foundation tester
When picking out a concealer or foundation, always test the colour on the inside of your wrist. The skin there is the most unblemished and will give you a good idea of how it will look on your face.

Extend your foundation

Want to extend the life of your foundation and cut down on heavy concealer? Mix a drop of it with your natural moisturizer to create a luminescent look for your skin.

Curl your lashes
Before curling your eyelashes, heat the curler with a hair dryer for a few seconds. Test to make sure it is not too hot, then apply to eyelashes. The heat will lock in the curl on extra long eyelashes.

Foundation secret
Apply foundation to your face AFTER you have done your eye make-up. This helps you to fix any last minute smudging from mascara or eyeliner under the eyes.

Lipstick trick
Love matte lipstick, but feel your dry lips wreck the look? Apply a lip balm to lips before starting your make-up routine. By the time you have done your eyes and rest of the face, your lips will be moisturized and ready for the matte lipstick.

Manicure tip
If you have been sloppy applying nail polish, simply soak nails (when dry) in warm water for a few minutes and then rub off extra nail polish gently with a finger. visit: http://www.nikharearab.com/cosmetictips.html

If anyone is interested, or knows anyone interested, please email me at jntlube@msn.com

Financial Issues re Hy-Tek Hurricane -- Michael Harms, 12:36:43 03/28/03 Fri

I hold the mortgages on three pieces of real estate owned by Mr. Michael R. Kern, President of Hy-Tek Hurricane, at Shady Bend Airpark, Bell, Florida. All three of these mortgages are in default, two of them since mid-2000. And one of these properties contains the Hy-Tek Hurricane hangar. I have initiated foreclosure proceedings against Mr. Kern on all of these mortgages.
Anyone considering a purchase of a Hy-Tek Hurricane product would be well advised to do his own research and due diligence before investing.

Hello Mike, I am sorry to here what has happened to you but in my case what has happened to Kern couldn't have happened to a bigger prick. i sold him the Hurricance Company and he destroyed it. None the less, i want to let you know he has ripped off one of his own employees here in San Diego. The man who makes all his cables and steel parts has worked for Kern for more than 2 years (appox)without pay in trade for an Airframe kit. Kern never honored this nor has paid him a dime for his work. To bad such a great Ultralight is now gone. I hope you recover your loses.

It sure is a shame to see a great plane as the Hurricane go to waste, I have one and love it. Wish Donnie Eccker would bring it back.

[> [> [> [> Re: Financial Issues re Hy-Tek Hurricane -- HYTEK Hurricane (HYTEK Status), 17:38:40 05/11/07 Fri

The guy that wrote about holding the notes is Michael Harms, who BOUGHT the notes in an attempt to take my property away after my home and business were destroyed in an arson fire suspected by my neighbors, one of which is Michael Harms and his brother, Bryan Harms and his male companion. Michael Harms lost his court case in his attempt to steal my property. It also shows how nasty a human being can be when another has had a devastating event in their life. I had to counter sue Mr.Harms to get my property titles, which I did after Mr. Harms did his best. In my opinion, his current home here is being used for criminal activity now, and he still owns it. Great neighbors. As far as Ken Moen, several years ago Mr. Moen wa offered the Hurricane rights, tooling, etc., minus anything I owed him, in an attempt to be fair. He never responded, he just used my tooling to work with Eccker and sell ripoff parts, called To The Limit. Hurricane has always still operated and supported the design. If Mr Moen and Mr Eccker were honest men, they would buy the tooling rights and such back, and continue with an honest effort, and be able to hold their head high. All these people are criminals in my mind. It's interesting that Michael Harms has the balls to boldly write something about his activities involving me, when he's considered by FDLE as "a person of interest" in my arson case. Mike

Question about ultralight using a hang-type wing and 2 or 3 axis control system -- Ace - please reply to e-mailas well, 20:39:53 12/12/03 Fri

Theoretically, if I designed an ultralight using an old 'billow cruiser' STYLE hang-glider/delta wing at a fixed attitude, using a 2 axis control system (rudder/elevator on a tail boom) with the billow of the wing providing a dihedral for lateral stability. Is this possible/practicle? How about the same system, but use stubby winglets on poles to either side of the fusalage as airlerons. How about a cable attached to the trailing edge of each side of the wing that are pulled on one at at time when turning, with the deformed trailing edge on the inside half of the wing acting as a spoileron? PLEASE!!! I am at work, and can't bookmark this site, so PLEASE e-mail me any responses. If anyone thinks it may be possible, i'll post some sketches. Oh to be rich.. and have unlimited R&D funds... oh well..

Ace

Any with a 2 place Flightstar/Hurricane/Phantom in the Hemet area ? -- Russ in Pasadena, 20:08:42 10/10/03 Fri

Does anyone out there have a 2 place Flightstar, Phantom or Hurricane who would be willing to take me up in their plane so I can get some "seat time" before I take my Hurricane up for the first time. I already have 40 hr. under my belt flying Quicksilver's, Flightstar's, Thundergull, Rans S-12 and a Cessna 177RG. I would certainly compensate anyone who offers me chance to fly with them. I have friends who can I can fly with but their plane are dissimilar to mine and I perfer to fly something with similar flight characteristics to the Hurricane.

I live in the Pasadena CA area and would be willing to travel 2 hours (perhaps more) to where your plane is hangered. E-mail me if you can help. Thanks

Regards

Russ

[> Re: Info On Rotex 447 engine -- No name, 21:57:51 04/18/03 Fri

I bought a used 447 back in 1998. It supposedly had just been overhauled. I installed it (inverted) on my single-seater Beaver, and flew it for over 400 hours without any problem. On my last flight, I reached 70MPH in level flight, and the 447 was purring like a kitten.

When I later took it apart for overhaul, I found it had two bad crankshaft bearings, the piston rings were worn out, the heads were badly carbonned up, the cylinders were out of round.... Not worth re-building.

Would I get another one? Absolutely! In fact, I am looking for one, this time with electric start and CDI.

Check out this new book about ultralights. It's a great read! This is from the website: http://www.wingsofdiscovery.com/

Wings of Discovery offers a glimpse into the life of a man who struggles to overcome the fear of flying. Along the way he makes mysterious new friends who help him build his own small plane and teach him how to fly. Through some exciting and challenging adventures, the character faces his fears and learns about aviation and the importance of pursuing his passions.

"What if you could fly free like a bird - inherently understanding the wind, the sky, and your own feathered wings? Look into the eyes of an eagle, you will not see fear."

Russ, I too am very excited about Ultralight flying; especially after having gone on a flight with your instructor and having the stick for a few minutes...great fun! Hopefully this list will catch on and others will gather here. Hey, why don't tell your instructors about it and maybe they can post something at the Bomb Shelter or something?

Regarding a plane, why don't you explain to us novices what they are, what they do, and how we should get started. What do you recommend in a starter plane?

Please submit a post and help get the ball rolling. Hopefully we will get enough particispants to make this message board a success.
