I just purchased a 21'walk around cutty fishing machine. Upgraded from a 17' tri hull, got my sea legs on that one around P.V. and local sites with a few impulsive trips out to Catalina, quartering swells and chop on the way back in. Learned to read a compass thru Dive Certification some years back and I swear if I ever learned something useful it was that! I would like to be able to chat with an experienced skipper about GPS, radar, and to outfit my vessel without foolishly spending my hard earned green for lack of knowledge. Perhaps to "tag along" sometime to Catalina.
