Upgraded from a 17' tri hull, got my sea legs on that one around P.V. and local sites with a few impulsive trips out to Catalina, quartering swells and chop on the way back in. Learned to read a compass thru Dive Certification some years back and I swear if I ever learned something useful it was that! I would like to be able to chat with an experienced skipper about GPS, radar, and to outfit my vessel without foolishly spending my hard earned green for lack of knowledge.
