Tricky: it's one of those things where you have to be there. I'd say start easy than move to the harder stuff. First try just plain mineral spirits. Some paints will lift with it. Acryla-clean a specialty paint product PPG?available at high end automotive paint shops. would be my next choice, great stuff. Next I'd try Laquer thinner. Then Acetone. These latter two should do the job but may take some of your finish with it. Use sparingly dampan a rag and rub, dont pour on. If it starts to really screw things up stop and try something else. At any rate your probably going to be left with a gosting proplem. The Gel coat under the name will have been UV protected, because of this the surronding gel will have faded, but not under the name. So even once its off you'll still see it. Only solution I know is to go over the wholle thing with a light compound. This will take a little gelcoat of the whole thing making it look the same. After compounding always wax. Good luck!! Hey what Model do you have? Mike my fishing buddy has a 25 H-S walkaround we're about to sell. Great boats.

Tight lines Jim
