Hi Jim,
Well to accomplish what you are sugesting, you are going to have to go before the "FISH & GAME COMMISSION" and give them HARD scientific data to convince them that the mako shark fishery is in trouble.

At this point in time the landing stats are high for both sport and commercial fisherman, to them this is evidence that the fishery is healthy!

If you go to them stating you want to set a size limit just to limit the TAKE of the species, they will tell you they have allready limited the take with the daily bag limit of 2 fish per day!

I have been to a few F&G Commission meetings and they don't want to here personal opinions or speculation when it comes to restricting the TAKE of any species, THEY WANT COLD HARD FACTS AND DATA, to suport your claims, without it, they won't give you a second thought!!
