Actually it was called the Sea Watch.

You probably would have been dissappointed by the volume of chum used. I think they had 1 five gal bucket full of blood. They were dipping a cup into the bucket and dumping it over the rail every few minutes. Plus they had a nice pile of pulverized mackeral(chum salsa) and were flinging small portions over the side regularly.

I also hope they have

No under water lights.

We fished about 10-12 miles off of La Jolla. I caught the only fish of the trip a 90lb Mako. That was the only hook up the entire night. My lucky day huh? There were tons and tons of bait fish swimming around all night. The Capt. and crew did a good job despite the poor fishing. The Captain Christain Tyler did a good job handling the fish once it was on the deck. He immediately started bleeding the fish and flushing it out with the hose to get the body temp down. I think if the Capt & crew did a little more homework, study the current water temps, and maybe try to go about 5 more miles out they could help better the chances of success. Overall I think it was a fun trip and worth $35 for an entire nights worth of fishing.
