Date Posted: 936819310PDT Ever see the movie Greystoke, the Legend of Tarzan? I can't help but think of this when I saw the photos of this 986 pound breeder lying in front of a restaurant with all the people around it. "Hey look, I just shot a 500 pound gorilla and chopped off its hands." "Let's display the sucker in the park." Never mind that it was someone's father or a friend. Anyway, enough wise cracks...they just killed the world's #1 MOM capable of breeding 14 pups in the next year and every year thereafter. She was the queen mako, the ultimate survivor, the leader of the Pacific pack of makos. In my opinion they should have release it and stuck with the smaller one they already killed for food. But, I gotta admit hooking and killing any whopper is a rush...but, it's wrong. So...I'm wrong when I do it...killing breeders. I'm a bad boy. Do you want us all to be right? Then only kill the juveniles and let the happy go lucky breeders screw their brains out making more babies for us to eat a few. We can't possibly kill them all. I mean, let's figure this out. If there are say 5,000 breeders who have 10 babies each that would add 50,000 NEW makos. I'll kill 2 juveniles about 40 pounds a piece a year, how about you? Now we are all rocket scientists and marine biologists. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
