*finally the mare enters, after all the rest, barely lifting her feet to walk she enters the spring, lifting her dull eyes she surveys the area, indeed it was beautiful here, but it made no difference, slowly she shuffles to the stream, siping from the cool waters, with a tired grunt she allows her travel weary body to rest, lying by the stream bed*

*bay mare trots over to where her dam lay, glad the mare had made it, femme lowers her dial to her mother's shaggy grey hide, eagerly greeting her, begging her to eat some for the grass here was sweet, nudging her again she looks towards her colt where he plays, asking her dam to watch also, for the sight might brighten up the mare*
