stands besides the mare whuffing softly to her. his orbs watch the herd but wander back to her. he scratches at her back hoping to bring comfort as winter was slowly nearing. this place would be safe for winter but if not they would move but not until then. he looks upon the filly as if staring at the stars. she was beautiful like her mother and was growing strong as the days grew on. she would carry her dam's legacy on well.
