Following behind Phantom Mists, the graceful chestnut femme tosses her tapered dial at the other equines, shimmering tresses cascading down her sleek neck like a silky waterfall. Her white socks flash as the mare glides into the territory, smooth coat only damp after the long journey from Dusty Dunes under the relentless sun. Halting, the effeminate raises her cranium, flaring her nostrils and gazing impassively 'round the territory with luminous dark orbs. She had been here before, so recently it seemed... Flashes of her past life return to her: Damis Kubraa, who quit, who gave his harem to Dubai, who was inactive... Before that: Kryptonite, who she left, Sin, who had her before that... So many stallions, none who laid claim to her heart. Kryptonite intrigued her, yet angered her so; Kubraa she was fond of, but he left too soon; Dubai entranced her, but he never appeared. Now, Phantom Mists, the ghostly stud- shall he be worthy of her love?
