Stallion approaches the springs. He whuffles gently to the water, smelling it. As he sees it is O.K, he gulps greedily into his dry mouth. Suddenly, his dappled head flys into the air, alert of another steed nearby. Muscles quiver, as he stands guard.

Steed moves swiftly through the springs, water reaching his knees. Velveteen muzzle sniffs the air carefully for predators. He awaits the first mare he claimed, Rumex Ruta. Stepping lightly, the steed picks up pace and waits for her. *Gets impatient*. He thinks about stealing a mare, he agrees, and walks about serahcing for the perfect one...until Ruta comes
