Just completed workshop on program planning and I invted section leders fram all groups to attend. The section leaders went over the new training program and how we are going to implement it. Everybody in attandance are puzzled about the section on the checklist concerning requirements, as the outdoor skills section for all areas had 18 spaces to be checked. We have no booklet explaining these requirements. We had a leader who has just transfered in from Nova Scotia and he said that they had this checklist past around in the spring and that they too were also puzzeled about the requirements. He also said that our counterparts were also meeting today to go through the new booklet on training. he will be calling them tonight to find out how they made out on this topic. I will let you know what he hears. Overall the day went well. Very low turnout 5 new leaders. Group committes never passed on messages to leaders. We must find another way to ensure that Group committes get the message out to their leaders.
Any suggestions or are other groups find the same thing
