I love the "Christy" series!
- way back when ... after I first stumbled across VHS copies of the TV series in a bookstore ... I loved watching every minute of each episode.

But, at the end of the series ... I was very frustrated by the fact of not knowing who "Christy" would marry.
- this was before I knew about the final three movies
- I remember telling myself, if that girl has any sense at all she will choose the "Doc"! :)

I'm glad there was a happy ending!
But, I felt bad for "David" ...
- wonder who he ended up marrying?

*** but, you gotta admit, "David" did look kinda pitiful standing there during the wedding ceremony! poor guy!

I agree with both of you. Though, the rational part of me was saying "Why would you want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with (isn't in love with) you??" Although it could be that I felt like the David in the movie (something Watterson? I just know he's Sam Watterson's son, but I can't think of his first name.) didn't present the character in a very strong way the way Randall Batinkoff did in the show. I think I would have had more sympathy had the character been played by Randall. :)
