I can be pretty competitive at times, and that comes out a lot at work. I think I got the title when I was watching "24" over the summer with my cousin and it sort of got stuck in my head and I would pretend I was working at CTU when I was at work. I needed an enemy, so what about other publishers? So as often as I could, I referred to what I was doing as "taking x publisher down". Everyone thought it was funny how serious I acted about it, too! Ah, did I mention I work for a Christian publishing company, LOL? I won't get into it because I would get into a big vent and also I don't think it is my place, but I'll just say there are some Christian publishers out there that play dirty. I just "play" in fun . . . or sometimes there is some revenge on my mind :P

I have to go to garage sales and rummage sales for my side business of selling books online. I love the rummage sales where everything you can fit in a bag is a couple bucks! I get some inventory, then I look around at all the other cool things. I love putting random things together ("recycling" I guess!) and just random craft kinds of things. I wish I had a giant workshop where I could work on it and store everything, because I get somethings I think are really cool, then they come home and wait while I try to figure out what to do with them or get the rest of the materials, but eventually it mostly all goes to Goodwill :(

Sounds like there are a lot of us thrifters out there! Isn't there a 100 mile garage sale near you? I can't remember exactly, but in my mind it is in the middle South area. Maybe we can all get together and we can go deal hunting in your bus so we'll have plenty of room for our loot! Since we are all interested in books, we might have to set up some rules so we don't end up pushing each other out of the way or fighting over a book ;P Can you imagine a tug-of-war with a book? *shudders* I would rather give it to the other person than risk damaging it like that!

You and I sound alike in a lot of ways Brittany! I have all kinds of "crafty" ideas - it's just finding the time to assemble them! :)

"World's Largest Yard Sale" or "The 127 Sale"
This one was in Aug. 2010

But, this one is "yet to be"! :)
"TN52" yard sale - May 2011
http://www.tn52.com/tn52_yard_sale.htm
That's a lotta "stuff"!

I think they should offer some kind of "fly over" so a shopper could "scan" the complete inventory before beginning the "trek" on ground 'cause what if you're walking along - with only so much money in your pocket and think "man, I gotta go back and get that (whatever item) 'cause they had a "way better" price on it than this guy?! :) - it could be a very long walk?! :)
