I find that librarians have a lot of "duties as assigned"!

As if we didn't have enough assignments, now we have been give a Moodle project. I wanted to do mine anyway, but still, having it "assigned" just seems to add another pressure this early in the year!

"Back to School Night" from 5 to 8 tomorrow evening - the third week in a row that I have had an evening activity on a night . . .

Gotta get to bed early tonight - TIRED ME!!!!

JennOK,

Moodle, short for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, is a free and open-source e-learning software platform serving 32 million users in 3 million courses. (Sort of like Blackboard but easier to use) Teachers can create their own e-learning courses or activities using Moodle. Moodle was developed to help educators create online courses with a focus on interaction and collaborative learning.

I will be creating a booktalk forum where all our students can discuss, critique and type book reviews of the 12 books from the William Allen White Children's Book Award Master List. It is the state book award for Kansas. A relatively easy project, I just need to get it up and running.
