I think one of the reasons this is going on is the idea that someone is going to smuggle in a bomb in the UK and then pull a suicide bombing simmalar to Israel. Fear, above all else is what's causing this issue, uninformed-frighten-worried people who are scared that someone from the "outside" will come in and unleash some sort of bomb, or pull off the anthrax game that was done in the states. I'm betting anything that a large number of biggits and jerks are playing up the "fear" card to get people all worked up so that this sort of situation happens.
