This whole blasted war thing is based around a ton of "ifs". Nearly every other country in the world disagrees with the idea of going after Saddam, yet Bush will lead the U.S. into war against Iraq without the U.N.'s approval or backing? Sorry, sounds like a madman.

Granted, I don't have much of an opinion on this whole mess. I don't follow every breaking newsflash when Powell or Bush or whoever makes a brand new public statement reassuring the public of their intents against Iraq. I can't stand to watch the U.S. make an ass of itself in the U.N. meetings.

I am, however, sick and tired of the U.S. running around sticking our noses in everyone else's business. It's this tendency, IMHO, that causes half the world to wind up hating us in the first place.

One thing that has shocked me is how many people actually support Bush's ideas on the matter. People I never would've expected to have come forth and said they agree with the U.S. rushing over there and starting a war. It's shocking, and just a bit disturbing, seeing as how World War III could wind up being our doing.

I still stand on my original post, though. Bush is still an idiot. =D
