There's food that will turn your stomach, then there's food that can burn through your stomach!

I spotted jars of habenero peppers in the Wal-Mart produce department yesterday. I read the label. They actually recommend that one wear rubber gloves when handling them! They caution about getting the juice in one's eyes. I've had the misfortune of absent-mindedly rubbing my eyes after handling a pickled slice of jalapeno, so that doesn't surprise me a bit. They said to use sparingly.

I have heard from some people about a certain hot sauce that is sold in Nevada. The state requires that anyone who buys it must sign a waiver. If I remember correctly, a teaspoon (10 mL) can kill a person. Or was it a tablespoon (30 mL)? I'm...not ready for something that potent yet.
