...The Chess of Nations.

Okay, the craps that going on already, eh?

Well, first of all, the "War on Terrorism" is just renewing. Look at it! An assasination attempt on the Afghan President? What gives? It's just a matter of time until Bin Laden, who's still a missing link till this day, will sit in that presidential seat and gives us another pain in the @$$. (No kidding; he's good at that...)

Second of all, The Israeli-Palestinian crisis just went straight down the toilet; all that crap with troop withdrawal is just mockery. C'mon, the Israelis just leveled another metal factory in suspicion that it made bombs that destroyed a tank and killed three people in their recent military activities.

Third of all, the India-Pakistan conflict over Kashmir isn't going to disappear overnight; I'm sure they'll fight to the bloody end, and even then to them isn't the bloody end!

Okay, from the least significant to the most important, the players...

First of all, the United Nation isn't going to do jack about this phoney act of ignorance. Think about it. Russia is busy keeping a good international reputation after becoming part of the G-8. France apparently sides with Germany on this matter which is going to be against it. But most importantly, China's president, Jiang Zemin, just denounced Bush's decision and of course, is not going to vote a yes for the attack given her position in the UN. This leaves only US and Britain to the coffee table. Lesse here: One no, two Know-Nothings, and two silly blind mouse trying to sniff their way to the cheese. Does that help the situation? Hmmmm...

Second of all, with the floods that devastated Central Europe recently, the EU is basically exhausted morally to start anything that resembles a war. (Heck, if Liechtenstein suddenly wanted to take over Europe, I think they'll be quite successful, too!) Besides, they will gain nothing from this war (trust me, no cash, no territories, nothing) and lives will be lost. Does it worth it? Hmmmm...

Third of all, the entire globe will be affected economically. Once a war with any Middle Eastern nation ignites, oil prices will go up, stagnation begins, and people will point their fingers at a easy culprit: the United States of America! Do we want that? Hmmmm...

Fourth of all, the Middle Eastern countries will not allow battle camps to be established on their soil. Whether or not they're allies of Saddam, I don't know, but I do know that they will want the OPEC to be consisted of members they trust, not a foreigner who doesn't know how they deal with things, if the US does install their own lil' puppet government in Iraq after the war and all. This will result in rising oil prices due to hostility toward the "new guy," influence technologically-advanced nations to make cars that will eventually not require petroleum, the Middle East will be hurt, and the next thing we know, more and more Bin Ladens will be popping out everywhere wanting to hijack more planes and ram them into more buildings! (I'm not kidding, this will happen if enough resentment arrives...) Can we afford the loss of more properties and lives? Hmmmm...

Fifth of all, one of our main focuses, our lil' Saddam Insane (Hussein, Insane... SAME THING!!!). Well, based on studies on the First Persian Gulf War (okay, the Iraq-Iran War, or whatever the crap it was called), Iraq was extremely successful in battles fought on their homeland. I have to give the kudos to them! They're good with their terrain; and the US knows squat about that hazard. The advantage is to Iraq in terms of terrain, and has an upperhand in guerrilla warfare if they're forced to that degrading tactic. But all and all, I don't think the US will attack Iraq with a lotta bazookas and nukes but no base (from an earlier point where no Mid. Eastern will offer campsite for US troops).

Last and final, but not least, our most important player... the Stars and Stripes! Well, to me, I think Bush is fighting to accomplish three things: 1) Use war production as a method to raise employment, 2) Striking while the fire's still hot; to abuse the patriotism since 9-11, and 3) and make himself be remembered like his father that kicked the Iraqi Army right in their shiny, lil' @$$es so he'll be commemorated as a "hero."

First, I don't think it's going to help the economy since many are against this impending war (uh, wasn't there a time period with a lotta war resentment called, uh, the Vietnam War?). Besides, the only corporations that do support the war are the flight industries, ones like Boeing, etc., who would want the government to use their plants to make warplanes so they'll profit from this instead of seeing their budgets drop as a result of lack of people taking trips with their airplanes.

Second, the patriotism is slowly dissipating; the remaining drops of patriotism is now distilled within the flags we put up, not in our hearts anymore. I have to admit it, people came to resent the aftermath of the new government roles. Cops searching without warrants, suspicion of being terrorists if you look like one, etc. I think a lotta people are fed up with that crap, and the only result why they still tolerate it was because they cared about the victims of 9-11, not because they allow the cops to do so.

Third, former President Bush won the popularity because that was basically the only leadership skill he managed to assemble together when president! But not for long. He was the one that allowed Saddam to retain power; now it is up to his son to finish what he failed to accomplish. And with oppositions here and there, I don't think he's going to be successful at finishing off his father's handiwork.

However, new reports I just read was that the French leader is now open to a military confrontation, siding with US' position, but only if the ultimatum to Iraq hoping for inspectors to enter his country is not allowed.

Even though I've said a lot above, but I want a final statement in this event: In the events of world history, great empires have always had glory, only to see it fade. If the US screws up on this, I think the aftermath is even worse. This is like two fishes fighting in a pond, but in the end, it's the fisherman who ultimately wins. In this conflict, I see the two idiots as either our lil' monkey curious George...*cough* President Bush... *cough* or our beloved madman Saddam Insane. But to me, the conflict isn't just about them. Maybe if the conflict's over, I may be wrong, but right now, I think the fisherman... is China herself.

With the world's most powerful first-world country fighting against the world's most intimidated third-world country (that is, if you exclude N. Korea, other Communist, military-controlled, and Columbia), I don't think either of them are ultimate winners. However, China, without being at the site of horror, will emerge as the victor.

I don't know, maybe I've digressed too much, or I may be hearing voices in my head again. Nonetheless, I'm openly against an attack on Iraq at all costs, unless evidences are shown to the public and let us people decide, because I don't want to listen to a 2002 version of a Golf of Tonkin Resolution.

Okay, I think I've said enough. Think I should start shutting up again now... But thx for reading.

This is H' signing off.

Freedom is the right of all sentient beings!!!
