Subject: Bush, Iraq and a whole can of worms

I dare say we've all heard the rumblings coming from the US about possible pre-emptive action against Iraq......Prime Minister Blair has promised to make available to the public the dossier of evidence against the Hussein Regime in "a few weeks"......all in all, we would seem to conform to the ancient curse about living in interesting times. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Is the US standing at the dividing line between self-defense and being the aggressor? Should they try to bring the UN on side? Is Bush guilty of sabre-rattling? Will the UK enter any conflict with the US, or will this be the first major foreign policy difference between the UK and the US since the Suez crisis?

Interesting times - and since this place has a wide spectrum of opinion about most things, I thought it might be interesting to tap that. Thoughts, anyone?
