Subject: Holy Mother of God!

If the events of the New Testament were true, then here are some things that I've been pondering...

(a) God created Jesus via a woman who was already married to Joseph. So much for not coveting thy neighbour's wife.
(b) Consequently Mary conceived a child with someone who was not her husband. Apparently infidelity is fine if you're cheating on your spouse with your God.
(c) Mary was never formally (or even informally) married to God - at least, not at the time that Christ was born. This technically makes Jesus a bastard, since his birthparents weren't married during Christmas (Sept).

And I'd be inclined to agree with what Rufus said about Joseph and Mary's sexual relationship in Kevin Smith's Dogma. :p
