>>You know, Roger Ebert seemed to have a different idea as to why Peter said he only wanted to be friends: extreme social paralysis on his part. When I watched the movie, I interpreted things the same way you did, DS. This just another reason to not trust Ebert's assessment of comic book movies.<<

You do realize that he was one of the few that actually liked Fast and the Furious! *Cue gagging* Luckily Roper said he liked it. :)

As for Doc Ock, I'm hoping to see Venom, or the Hobgoblin. Of all the Villans out there Hobby was the one that really drove Peter to distraction, and Venom. Well considering he's just a wigged out symbot. Ock, Sandman, or even the King Pin. (So long as they don't kill him off in the Daredevil movie, Ben Aflick as Matt Murdock...why doesn't this seem to work for me.)

And I hope they bring in Gwen Stacy, Urgh, just don't kill her off in the sequel. There already talking a third movie. And I read a funny blurb in the paper yesterday. A Suntimes Reporter and his son went to see the movie, and he actually wrote, "Seeing Spider-man swing around Gotham was a sight for sore eyes."
