Okay while I understand that the idea of not trading with the World Steel isn't exactly what people want to hear. It isn't a bad plan in the least. Consider the fact that a good third (Just an estimation here people not a fact) of americans still work in factories and processing business... Were not all Techies you know...it makes sense to allow them to stablize themselves.

I should point out the textile market in the USA right now. Most of our clothing is made outside the states, and that forced the Textile industry to close down a number of business. More people out of work, means less money in the pocket of businesses. And steel is one of the major business in some states; Indiana springs to mind, where there are a number of steel industries still running and trying to keep up with the influx of other makers.

Bush isn't trying to create trouble, he's just trying to help one of the major industies in the states. And If I recall right a number of Steel companies actually endorsed Gore over Bush.
