Subject: Trek question.....

Having now seen up to 1.17 (Fusion), I have to wonder if the writers of Star Trek can actually write women decently any more. Hoshi is alright, but T'Pol is Seven of Nine with pointy ears. Are the writers of Trek unable to relate to the women they create unless they put them in tight catsuits and make them the starship sexbombs?

Looking back, I can only see two women that were written halfway well - Jadzia Dax and Kira Nerys. All the others seem to be caricatures at best, and T+A statements at worst.

Thoughts?
