Subject: Cloning kitties
In reply to: Imperial NOVA 's message, "Customs (Cloneing) or Cyborgs?" on 02:54:45 03/21/02 Thu

I read an article about pet cloning in a recent issue of U.S. News and World Report. I have to admit that the most memorable thing about the article for me were the pictures of the kitties (I wuv kitties 'cause they're cute and they have soft kittie fur). Anyway, I guess I don't see a point to cloning your pet. It won't be the same pet--which became especially evident when the cat clone had a different color pattern in her fur than the original--and we already have so many unwanted cats and dogs at the local animal shelters that why bother?

Would I willingly become a cyborg? Yes, if I had too, i.e. if it would otherwise be dead or disabled in some way.
