Subject: Another Vacaton

Spending a week here in Norway, Maine with someone I met on my Mississippi River cruise last Fall. She invited me to her beautiful home on Lake Penneseewassee.

I arrived last Saturday, July 8th and the temperatures were in the 90's, but now are high 70's to low 80's and much more comfortable.

We spent a few hours in Portland one day and a several hours another day in Booth Bay Harbor.

Today I am on a walking tour of the downtown area of Norway. I try to spend time in every library of places I visit.

Today is my last day here in this quaint little place about 50 miles northwest of Portland.

I will be leaving Portland on an early morning train to Boston and another train from there to Syracuse getting home late on Saturday evening.

Incidentally I did receive the Recorder just before leaving on this trip. There were a few dates left out that I had given to Sue last year on the deaths of classmates.

Hope everyone is having a nice summer and I will see those who are going to Thendara/Old Forge by train in September.
