Subject: Women Running for President

Earlier this week I read about a woman who went to Nottingham in the late 1950's and was elected Vice President of the school. The article said that the school had a rule that girls could not run for president. While I don't remember any girl running for president while we were in school, I also don't remember any such rule prohibiting such a candidacy. Do any of you have any recollection on this issue?
