Hi Richard...

Just a couple of things in regard to it...As expected you presented the typical republican viewpoint, and naturally I would have a much different opinion...therefore, I will not waste either your time, or my own, by posting over there.

First of all, the comparison to Sweden is revelant in as much as it points out that Sweden is certainly much more compassionate of her citizens, than is our own country. And it's darned hard to fault her methods, when in fact it IS true that the lifespan in Sweden exceeds that in the US, and that their unemployment is lower, and that they do NOT have poor people, since the wealth has been redistributed up to a point. Do they have CEOs who, because of being greedy, don't mind in indulging in every corrupt means they can think of to line their own pockets, while taking away the savings of the working class of this country? NO.
Do their people have access to adequate medical care? YES...this contributes in a large way to the longer lifespan in Sweden. In our own country, greedy drug companies have taken it upon themselves to become rich at the expense of those who can't not afford outrageous prices for medications.

Lets be honest...America is full of greedy rich people, who are never satisfied with having enough...and their means for adding to their wealth are nothing short of white collar 'holdups' and tax loopholes, provided by an uncaring government...in the past the middle class has had to be the breadwinner for the federal budget, but with the disappearance of the middle class in this country, something is going to have to 'give'...there WILL have to be changes made. America is a country FULL of problems, and little compassion.

Sweden is a country who has chosen to meet the same problems that we have, and resolve them in a unique way, that has been, and is highly successful.

If you don't knock a successful businessman, and choose to ignore some of the methods he has used for becoming 'successful', then why on earth would you want to knock a country, who has solved it's problems, and provided for it's total population at the same time?! If a company did that, you would award them, and be singing their praises from now on, yet when a country, like Sweden accomplishes the very same thing, you attempt to pick it apart.

What is unraveling, and coming apart at the seams, is our own country, and the republican method of 'fixing' it, is only making things go all to hell faster than ever. Only when the republicans, themselves, go down with the ship, will they acknowledge the error of their thinking and their methods...by then it will be too late.
