Hi Joe,

I couldn't agree more. Term limits are a good thing. As it stands now, there is no impetus for our lawmakers to improve their level of service to their constituents. Once in office, they have a huge advantage as an incumbent. Some say that a term limit will limit the service of the good as well as the bad politicians. There is no reason to believe this. Once a lawmaker reaches his limit, there is nothing to prevent him from remaining in Washington and offering his experience. It would also take the emphasis off the next election. Maybe we would get an honest vote once in awhile.
