In reply to: J.M. Cleveland, Jr. 's message, "General Benjamin Cleveland" on Tue, May 29 2001, 23:32:59

J.M,
It is my understanding that my line of family is descended from one of his two sons in direct patriarchal line. Jasper Cleveland was born and raised in the Lake Hartwell area in South Carolina. He came from Tugaloo and is son to one of the two boys of Benjamin Cleveland. That makes him my great, great, great, great grandfather. My grandgfather will be giving me the documents that are handwritten from Georgia about all of us. It will take me some time to pour through these and decipher them, but it was my intent to get these into a computerized format and make copies to distribute. If you are willing to be patient, I will be happy to get you a copy of the disk when complete. Please make sure I have your regular mail. Hopefully it will only take a few weeks to pour through and get presentable. I am sure it will have information about Benjamin considering his sons.
Regards,
Virginia Cleveland

Virginia. You will probably be deluged, unless you allow Vicki to put them on the site. How exciting! We will be anxious to hear from you.
