Subject: How to fill in Binaltech Survey Cards

All of Takara's Transformers comes with a survey card, which is a really awesome way of letting Takara know what you thought of their toy and also what you WANT them to do.

When Binaltech first came out, my friends and I were sending back our survey cards requesting future Binaltechs like Sideswipe, Hound, Dead End and Tracks - which have all become real Binaltechs now. I'm personally still waiting to see see if they do Binaltech Cliffjumper as a Daihatsu Sirion GTvi, but we'll see. :p

I strongly recommend all collectors to fill in and send these cards back to Takara. But wait! They're all in Japanese! Damn straight. But fear not, Gaijin, for here is a simple guide on how to fill out the cards! Wzerozerot!!

STEP ONE: The Address

The front of the card is self-addressed and postage paid... for domestic mail, so you'll need to chuck this into an envelope and send it Air Mail. It won't cost you much.

The front of the card has the address to send it to. Unless you feel confident in writing Japanese, I recommend printing the following text out and clipping and pasting it onto the front of the envelope:

JAPAN 〒125-8701
東京都葛飾区
青戸4-19-16
株式会社タカラ
トランスフォーマープロジェクト
トランスフォーマーバイナルテック係行

STEP TWO: Filling In Your Personal Details

On the lower half of the front side, you'll see a table. This is for your personal information - it's part of Takara's market research, so they can obtain demographic information about their customers. You all know how it goes.

The first box is for your address and phone number. It will have this written on the top left: ご住所 and seven squares for the post code (because Japanese post codes have seven digits). I recommend simply using the last four squares for your own Australian post code. Write your address in the empty space below. Remember to write "Australia" at the end. At the top of this same square, you'll see a little symbol that looks like a telephone. This is where you write your phone number. Don't forget to include country code and drop out the 0 from your area code. For example, if Pizza the Hut in NSW filled this out, his number would be +61-2-9481-1111.

The next square with "お名前" in the top left corner is where you right your name. The next square along has 性別 and gives you two options:男・女 - this is where you circle your sex. for MALE and for FEMALE. Directly next to this is another small section labelled 年齢 and there is a blank square with the word aligned to the right. This is where you write your current age just before (which is Japanese for "years old").
Directly beneath where you've highlighted your gender and entered your age is another small square labelled:
生年
月日

This is where you enter your date of birth. Yes, it asks you for both your date of birth AND age. Don't ask me why. Your date of birth should be written as yyyy年mm月dd日生
Directly beneath this square is another one labelled お求めになった日, which is where you fill in the date of when you purchased/received your Binaltech and the date should be written as yyyy年mm月dd日

The last square, labelled
お買い上げ
店 名
is where you tell Takara where you got your Binaltech from. There are sixteen choices - circle the number of the corresponding answer. The choices are:
(1) Toys 'R Us (2) Itoyokado (3) Daiei (4) Ion/Jusco (5) Maikaru/Sati (6) Hello Mac (7) Specialist Toy Store (8) Games Shop (9) Electronics Store (10) Camera Store (11) Supermarket (12) Green grocer (13) Home Centre (14) Discount Shop (15) Hobby Shop (16) Other - if you choose this one, write down the name of where you got it from in the brackets.
