This is why I don't buy any of the Robotmasters recolors... yeah, that's basically what we're paying for the line over here. BBTS especially is getting hosed on what they have to pay... sadly, their good supplier went out of business some time ago leaving them stuck with a pricier source, and a lot of other online stores have fared worse.

I know HLJ ultimately ends up being cheaper, but I've heard from people who have had their preorders eiter canceleld or backordered as they're simply not getting enough stock.

I can justify such a price on a new mold that may not even get US distribution.I paid $55 total for SL Galvatron when it came out. At the time it looked as if Hasbro wasn't going to bring it over here. Obviously they have(I grabbed the mini Megatron/Convoy set at TRU tonight for $25 US) but even then, they made no announcement of it. As with most store exclusives, it just showed up on eBay silently. But hey, I got a spare SL Galvatron and a SL mini Convoy for $25. I will no doubt put the spare in the hands of sick/needy children anyway. Seems whenever I spend the extra I always find a way to get it back. Keep in mind I'd have paid about $25 if I'd imported SL mini Convoy.

If Hasbro wants to bring RM to the states, then good. But given my inability to see the future or read minds, I can't see sitting on anything waiting for Hasbro to bring it out when the price will no doubt rise in the mean time. I mean, we saw what a mistake Heroes of Cybertron was(in terms of construction and distribution) and Alternators isn't faring any better(I have seen nothing past Sideswipe... which I got months ago). Sure, I can get an Alternator for $35 less than a BT, but that's meaningless if I can't even find the things.

Though technically, I did pay for this and Starscream in store credit, but it has to be paid for somehow(and I'd already planned to pay in cash before they'd had the credit to apply).
